Welcome to BBCe! This week we're taking it easy because it's the
slow programmeبرنامج بطيء.
We're asking people in London and Cairo:
How do you slow down and take it easy?كيف تسترخي؟
Here are some of the answers we get:
Well I just relax at home and relax with friends.
Basically spending my time with my family specially if we manage to arrange for ourselves to go to the sea.
Go outside in an open air area and sit down very silent and I don't talk to any one.
Occasionally I go to
Yoga classes دروس اليوجا
.
In English if we talk about slow things we often mention an animal...
the snail الحلزون
. In English if someone is working very slowly we'd say they are working "at a snail's pace" - very slowly!
And sending a letter in the post (not by email) is now sometimes called 'snail mail'.
Another phrase we use is "slow but sure"; if you do something slowly but very carefully we'd say you are slow but sure...
