Today John and Rasha talk about an inspirational way to pay for your honeymoon, through recycling.

A young couple, John and Ann Till, living in the south of England, have managed to fund their honeymoon by recycling rubbish.

They spent three months going to a supermarket which had an automated recycling unit, where they put their rubbish, in exchange for airline air miles.

Thanks to their penchant for scavenging, they managed to gather up the miles they needed, but it took a lot of hard work.

They scoured the streets for rubbish, looked over walls and in the undergrowth, then spent hours force feeding the machine!

In an interview with the BBC, the couple are described as great 'green heroes', because of their efforts at being environmentally friendly.

The couple chose to fly to their honeymoon. Flying results in pollution, and their carbon footprint would increase as a result.

However, John and Ann say they are being carbon neutral, because they off-set the carbon footprint by using recycled rubbish to pay for their flight.

In my country there's a campaign to encourage rice cultivators to recycle the rice hay in producing organic fertilizers instead of burning it which result in black cloud causing pollution and terrible diseases. There is about 2 million acres cultivated with rice in Egypt so you can imagine the amount of hay resulted from them.
