Today Rasha and Anna are talking about why some men might be afraid of commitment. .




There have been recent stories about celebrities such as singer John Mayer and movie star, George Clooney. Are these men afraid of commitment? Why haven't they married?

Why can't men commit to a relationship?

One theory is that some men have problems with committment because of their genes. They have a genetic "flaw".

This theory is from research by the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.

The researchers studied the DNA of over a thousand men. They were asked aboout their relationships and their answers were compared to information about the men's genes.

The researchers say that the men who had the genetic "flaw" had more problems with their marriages.

However, the researchers stress that there are many other reasons why people have problems with relationships.

Paula Hall, a relationship counsellor says in one report on the story, "We are not slaves to our genes."
