Today Kaz and Louay are talking about the smog at the Olympic Games.

The air quality for this summer's Olympics has been cleaner than expected. There were worries before the games air pollution would affect the athletes.

How did the Chinese clean up the smog in Beijing?

BBC correspondent Michael Bristow says, "The city is enjoying its cleanest August in a decade."

There has been fresh air and blue skies.

One reason for the cleaner air is that is that the rain during the games has helped disperse pollutants.

In Beijing there have been measures to reduce pollution.

The Chinese have closed polluting factories and there are fewer cars on the road. This has improved air quality. But these measures are temporary.
