Today Somaya and John have a story about a new dictionary.

There's a new dictionary out in British bookshops this week. It claims to be a bit different from most dictionaries because it lists all the new words that have entered the English language over the last 2 years.

This makes it one of the most up-to-date on the market.

There are lots of new words connected with fashion and celebrities in this latest edition.

This is down to the popularity of gossip columns and fashion magazines which use these new trendy terms. They catch on quickly and people start to use them widely, and that's how they make it into the dictionary.

The publishers say that this new dictionary is intended to reflect the English Language as it is and it doesn't include words that it regards as being transient and ephemeral.

Some of the words and phrases in the dictionary include 'electrosmog', 'fashion-forward' and 'wardrobe malfunction'.
