Today, Kaz and Sam discover how to celebrate Valentine's Day the skinflint way!
Today is of course Valentine's Day, celebrated in the UK with the buying of Valentine's cards, large bouquets of flowers, and romantic candle-lit meals for two in over-crowded restaurants. It can all be a bit of an expensive day, especially for men, who traditionally pay.
But at least they can now save some money on the card. This year a British supermarket is selling a Valentine's Day card for 8 pence - while most cards would cost at least £2.The Daily Telegraph newspaper says: '8p card leaves cheapskate Romeos no excuse.'
The Daily Star is less positive - it says these cards are for men who love a bargain more than their wives. And the Daily Mirror has only one piece of advice on how to deal with these skinflint lovers - dump them!
There are plenty of words to describe people who are mean. You can call someone a cheapskate, you can say they're stingy or penny-pinching. Or you could be more gentle and say they're not very generous.

I have never received a Valentine's Day card but most of us speak to each other and say it with words - lovely & good words about LOVE, HOPE, I think that our behaviour towards each other is more important than cards.

I am twenty-six years old. I think valentines Day isn't only for lovers but for everyone. On this day you can express your feelings and love for your family, friends and also girl friend if you have one. Pls. note that I am still single so I didn't receive any bouquets of flowers from any one.
