The family of a pharmacist killed when his Porsche crashed in Aberdeenshire have said he was their "pride and joy".
Calum Lewis, 29, of Aberdeen, died on the B979 at Maryculter on Monday night.
Relatives said in a statement: "Calum was our only son and our pride and joy. He wasn't just our son, he was our best friend.
"We just can't believe that this wonderful young man, who loved life and loved people, should have been taken from us in this way."
'Miss him'
The statement continued: "He loved fast cars and was so proud of his yellow Porsche Boxster. He bought it new a year ago and it was his second Porsche.
"His great passion was Formula One and he was so delighted when his hero Kimi Raikkonen won the British Grand Prix on Sunday. That really was a great day for Calum.
"I know that everyone who knew Calum will never forget the young man who always had a smile on his face and never had a bad word to say about anybody. He made us all so proud and we shall miss him sorely."
The statement added: "Young people need to realise that speed not only kills but can have serious consequences for the rest of your life."
