Club's pavilion destroyed by fire

A rugby club's pavilion has been destroyed in a suspected arson attack by burglars.

Firefighters were called to Yarm Rugby club in Eaglescliffe on Saturday morning following reports of the blaze.

Watch manager Martin Holden, of Cleveland Fire Service, said the fire was believed to have been started after a break-in.

Police are now investigating the cause and anyone with information is asked to contact officers.
