Fake banknotes 'being circulated'

Police in Telford warn of counterfeit cash in circulation

People in Shropshire are being warned of fake money which is in circulation in the county.

Police in Telford said there had been reports of a number of counterfeit £20s being found in the Telford, Shifnal and Whitchurch areas.

Traders, banks and members of the public are being asked to check all notes.

If anyone has any doubts about notes they are being offered they should contact the police.
