A man in his 40s has been arrested after armed police were called to the Kingswood area of Bristol after reports of a man wielding an air rifle.

Officers sealed off several streets including Fairview Road just after 1315 BST on Friday having received calls from members of the public.

"We received reports of a disturbance, firearms officers are in attendance as a precaution," a police spokesman said.

Streets around the property remained sealed off until 2000 BST.
