Blaze has left family 'homeless'
A fire that broke out in a faulty dishwasher has left a family of seven homeless, Essex Fire Service said.

Firefighters were called to the detached property in Buttercup Way, Southminster on Sunday evening.

Crews found the whole of the ground floor was heavily smoke-logged as a result of the fire which left part of the house damaged.

The British Red Cross victim support unit has been helping the family find temporary accommodation.
