Three are freed following crash

Three people have been cut free after a two-vehicle collision in Gwynedd just north of Machynlleth.

They received emergency treatment before they were taken to hospital after the crash at about 1255 BST.

Two Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews, from Newtown and Machynlleth, were sent to the scene, where they used hydraulic cutting gear.

The collision led to the closure of the A487 between Bridge Street, Corris, and the B404 at Machynlleth, Powys.
