A man's body has been found on board a yacht which ran aground in Cornwall.

The discovery was made when the 26ft (8m) vessel came ashore at Millendreath, near Looe.

Coastguards had been searching for the Sadler yacht, following reports of a 51-year-old man from south Devon who had been reported missing.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the death was being investigated, but is not thought to be suspicious. The coroner has been informed.

The man was last seen leaving his mooring in Plymouth at the weekend.

The alarm was raised when he did not arrive for work on Monday and his family were unable to contact him.

The Tamar Coastguard Rescue Team, Plymouth RNLI inshore lifeboat and an RAF helicopter from RMB Chivenor were involved in the search for the vessel.
