The incident has been reported to the Health and Safety Executive

Three people had to be rescued when a dry stone wall collapsed onto a house in Cornwall.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Barbican Hill in East Looe just before midnight.

One of the three men inside the property received minor injuries when he was trapped by falling masonry.

Nearby houses were evacuated and 18 people were taken to Looe Police Station until a structural engineer assessed the damaged building.

They were later allowed to return to their homes.

The cause of the collapse is being investigated and the incident has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive.
