Wolverhampton Wizards begin their tenth season in the Conference West Midlands with a trip to Oxford on Saturday.
The Wizards have strengthened their squad after moving to a new home ground at Dudley Kingswinford Rugby Club.
"After such a difficult 2006 season we always knew the next few years were going to be a challenge," said Wizards club manager James Vukmirovic.
"After getting through 2007 and making the big move to Dudley Kingswinford we have a real chance to impress."
Wolverhampton will be without player of the year Tom Huggins for the season opener and will include some of their new recruits.
All three meetings with the Cavaliers last season ended in home victories, two for Oxford and one for the Wizards at their old home in Willenhall.
