Woman arrested after girl stabbed
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a teenage girl suffered multiple stab wounds, Norfolk Police said on Monday.

Police were called after paramedics found a 17-year-old in a field in Great Cressingham, near Dereham, at about 2045 BST on Sunday.

She was taken to hospital where her injuries were said to be serious but not life-threatening.

At about 2100 BST a woman, 31, was arrested and is being questioned.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said the victim was recuperating at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn.

He said a full investigation has been launched and officers are conducting a number of inquiries in the local area.
