Strong winds causing power cuts
Strong overnight winds have caused a number of power cuts in parts of Gloucestershire.

People living in Dymock were without electricity from the early hours of Saturday morning after a fallen tree brought down power cables.

Around 1,000 homes and businesses in Huntley, near Gloucester were also on reduced power supplies.

Engineers from Central Networks say the problem was due to a fault on an overhead cable.

People were advised not to boil a kettle or switch on washing machines until the problem has been fixed.
