Teenager held as murder suspect

A teenage boy has been arrested in Hertfordshire in connection with the suspicious death of a woman in Norfolk.

The 16-year-old was arrested in Hoddesdon where he was held in custody on suspicion of murder before being taken to a Norfolk police station.

He has been arrested in relation to the death of 47-year-old Elaine Walpole, who was found dead at her home in Dreibholz Court, Dereham, on 29 April.

A man in his 30s arrested in connection with the case remains on police bail.

A post-mortem examination has taken place but the results have not been released, police said.

Det Insp Jes Fry, of Norfolk Police, said: "We are liaising closely with the family of the victim and welcome any information the public may have to offer."
