Security guard is robbed in bank

A security guard has been robbed of a substantial amount of cash he was collecting from a Hertfordshire bank.

The raider snatched the bag from the guard inside Barclays, in Cole Green Lane, Welwyn Garden City, on Tuesday.

The robber, described as black, aged in his early 20s and about 5ft 9in (175cm), ran away down an alleyway.

Det Con Mark Cotte said: "This would have been a busy time of day and I am sure somebody must have seen the incident take place."
