Essex clubs enjoy mixed fortunes

Non-League

There were mixed fortunes for Essex's non-league teams in their respective play-off semi-finals.

Blue Square South side Braintree Town lost 2-0 in the home leg of their semi-final against Eastbourne Borough.

In the Ryman Premier League Hornchurch went down 3-1 to AFC Wimbledon in their one-legged semi.

But there was better news in Division One North, which will have an all-Essex final after Canvey Island won at AFC Sudbury and Redbridge beat Ware.
