Bogus plumbers steal from couple
A large sum of money was stolen from a couple in their 90s in Bath by a gang claiming to fix a large water leak.

One man called on the victims at their home in Broadway, off the A36 Pulteney Road, in Bath city centre.

He led the elderly man into the kitchen and tampered with the sink. It is thought two other men entered the house and stole the money from upstairs.

All three men are described as white, about 5ft 6ins tall and in their 20s. Police have appealed for witnesses.

The men are all described as speaking with Liverpudlian accents and drove away from the scene in a vehicle parked nearby.

Pc Chas Cannon, of Avon and Somerset Police, said: "The key message we need to get across is 'if in doubt, keep them out'."
