Two men face manslaughter charge
Two men have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man in a Northumberland town.

Shaun Hardy, aged 36, of Highcliffe Spittal, Berwick-upon-Tweed, was found with head injuries in Golden Square, Berwick.

The father-of-one was taken to Berwick Infirmary on Friday but later died.

A 25-year-old man and another aged 30, both local, have been charged with manslaughter and will appear before magistrates in Bedlington on Monday.

In a statement Mr Hardy's family said: "Shaun was first and foremost a loving father, a devoted son and a wonderful brother.

"His death will leave a void in the lives of those who knew him."

A police spokesman urged anyone who was in Cashmere Nightclub, or Golden Square, early on Friday to come forward.
