Edwards ready for title defence

Stoke's Chris Edwards will defend his British super-flyweight championship against Andy Bell at Barnsley's Metrodome on Friday night.

Edwards won the Lonsdale belt when he defeated Jamie McDonnell in December.

"I am itching to get in the ring," said Edwards. "I want three wins so I can keep the belt.

"I'm taking nothing for granted though, Andy is a good fighter and will be just as keen to win as I am, but I'm confident I will bring the belt back."
