Netball centre planned for Oxford

Plans have been drawn up for a Netball Centre of Excellence in Oxford to try to raise standards in Oxfordshire.

There are more than 800 registered players in the county, but there is a feeling the facilities are inadequate.

Sue Blackmore from Oxfordshire Netball told BBC Oxford: "If we get six courts at Court Place Farm we can get six matches per court per night.

"It would also act as a base for netball, where it will easier to develop umpires and coaches."
