Aldershot bid farewell to quartet

Aldershot are releasing four players following their promotion to the Football League.

Defenders Rob Gier, 27, and Dean Smith, 21, along with midfielder Ryan Scott, 21, are not being offered new contracts for next season.

And experienced winger Ryan Williams, 29, has left by mutual agreement.

Shots boss Gary Waddock said: "I wish them all every success in the future and thank them for the first-class service they gave this club."
