Motorbike rider dies during crash

A man has died during a collision between a car and a motorcycle on a Leicestershire road.

The Honda motorbike and Lexus car collided on Lindridge Lane in Desford at about 0015 BST on Thursday.

The rider of the bike, who is thought to be in his 50s and from the Coalville area, died at the scene.

A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. Leicestershire Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
