Three held after police pursuit

Three men have been arrested following a pursuit across Dorset.

A blue BMW drove away from officers in Weymouth at 0814 BST sparking a high-speed chase.

The car finally stopped near to a Tesco store in Ferndown after a 40 mile pursuit. The occupants then fled into a nearby car park.

Three men, aged 23, 24 and 37 all from London, have been arrested. A fourth man is still being hunted and is described as black and of large build.

Det Ch Insp Dave Cregg, of Dorset Police, said: "The quick actions by the officers in pursuit of this vehicle meant that three men were arrested in the area of Tesco.

"The car has been recovered and is being examined by scene of crime officers."
