Boys excluded after assault claim

Three primary school children who allegedly carried out a sex assault on a fellow pupil will not return to school, education bosses have said.

The initial decision was for the accused boys to return to Cabot Primary School in St Pauls, Bristol, on Monday.

But the decision was reversed following a reassessment of the situation by the school and local education authority.

City Council spokesperson Katharine de Lisle said the boys were excluded while the situation was being investigated.

"The school and local education authority have reassessed the situation and concluded that, for the moment, they should not return to Cabot Primary," she added.

Ms de Lisle said the three accused boys were receiving alternative education provisions.
