A sex offender has gone missing during a visit to a farm in Bristol, police have said.

Tamer Mahmoud is considered a high risk because he was originally held under the Mental Health Act and is a registered sex offender.

The 26-year-old was reported missing at 1100 BST on Tuesday.

He is described as 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build, with a tanned complexion and dark hair. He was wearing black sports bottoms.

A police spokesman said Mahmoud had been sectioned after "indecently assaulting women in the London area" but could not provide further details.

"It is possible he may try to get to London, where he has previously lived," he added.

He also confirmed Mahmoud had been on a supervised trip to the farm, accompanied by members of the unidentified unit.
