Youth on six sex assault charges

A 17-year-old has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with six counts of sexual assault on women in a Berkshire town.

The charges relate to six separate assaults in Maidenhead over 10 days, between 26 September and 5 October.

A seventh charge of actual bodily harm relates to one of the incidents, in the St Lukes Road area on 3 October.

The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear again at Maidenhead Youth Court on 9 October.
