Man seriously hurt in car robbery

A man selling his car was dragged across a driveway as a robber, posing as a buyer, grabbed the vehicle.

The 40-year-old owner tried to cling on but the offender sped off, leaving him with a broken shoulder and foot.

The robbery happened in Dunt Lane, Wokingham in Berkshire after a man turned up to view an Audi A3.

Det Con Colin McCarlie said: "This was a nasty incident which left the victim needing hospital treatment for some serious injuries."

Police have appealed for anyone with any information about the incident last Thursday evening to contact them.

The offender was described as white, 25-30 years old, 5ft 11in, with an average build and with short brown hair.

He was wearing a white collared short sleeved T-shirt and three quarter length trousers.
