Driver hurt in road rage attack

Police in Berkshire are investigating a suspected road rage incident in which a motorist was punched in the face.

A row occurred between the drivers of a black Vauxhall Astra and a black Audi on the A4 Bath Road, near Highway Avenue, in Maidenhead.

The Audi driver, a man in his 30s, was assaulted and sustained minor injuries. He did not require hospital treatment.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the incident on Thursday evening to contact them.

Pc Josh Bethell, of Thames Valley Police, said: "The A4 is a busy stretch of road so it is likely that anyone driving by at the time saw what happened."

The driver of the Astra was described as a tanned white man with a muscular build. He was wearing a black sleeveless top and jogging bottoms.
