Bogus workman burglaries linked

Nine distraction burglaries across Berkshire over the last two months are being linked by police.

The burglaries took place in Slough, Bracknell, Windsor and Reading between 13 March and 7 May.

On each occasion a man stole money from an elderly resident after offering to carry out property maintenance work.

The culprit is believed to drive a white van with writing on the side and wears blue overalls with paint marks. He is white and aged between 30-35.

The man is also described as about 5ft 7in, stocky and sometimes has a moustache or stubble.
