Boy injured in hit-and-run crash
A 16-year-old boy was injured when he was hit by a car which failed to stop.

The teenager was struck by a red R-registered Ford Fiesta in Kersey Crescent, in Speen, Newbury, Berks, in the early hours of Saturday.

Police said two white men, aged between 18 and 21, were in the vehicle, which is likely to have a cracked windscreen as a result of the crash.

The boy suffered cuts and bruises and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment.

Pc Matthew Woolhams-Seeney said: "The victim was lucky to escape with only minor injuries.

"We would like to hear from anyone that may have witnessed the collision or saw the car leaving the scene."
