Family tribute to dead teenager
David Bishop
David Bishop's family said he "lived life to the full"
A family has paid tribute to a "loving and friendly" teenager who died when he was hit by a car as he walked along a motorway slip road.

David Bishop, 17, from Woodley near Reading, suffered fatal injuries when he was struck by a blue Peugeot 306 on the A329(M) early on Saturday.

In a statement, his family said he "lived life to the full" and was devoted to his girlfriend, Brooke.

Any witnesses to the accident have been urged to contact police.

'Future planned out'

In the statement, his mother Linda, father Jack, brother Robert and uncle Mike said David had many friends from his former Rivermead School, in Woodley, and from the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) where he was undertaking an electrical apprenticeship.

"David would make an effort to talk to everyone and he had a rapport with young and old alike - he was such a loving and friendly lad," the statement said.

"He particularly enjoyed running, swimming and working out with weights. He was also passionate about bikes and he upgraded his scooter to a motorbike when he was 17.

"David had his whole future planned out with a long-term ambition of living in Australia being his ultimate goal."
