Fatal crane accident victim named

A 62-year-old man who died after being trapped under a crane in Milton Keynes has been named.

Donald Preston, of West End Lane, Henfield in West Sussex, was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident in Stoke Road, Bletchley.

The accident happened on Wednesday afternoon at a marina. Boatyard workers had tried to free Mr Preston before emergency services arrived.

The Health and Safety Executive is leading an investigation.

The investigation could take weeks to complete.
