Date set for lodger murder trial

A man will stand trial next year accused of murdering a man found dead in a Bedfordshire house.

The body of Amanullah Khan, 38, who was originally from Pakistan, was found by residents at the shared house in Hightown Road, Luton, on 14 June.

Christopher McCool, 25, of Hightown Road, made his first appearance at Luton Crown Court.

He was remanded in custody and a trial date was provisionally set for 12 February 2009.
