A 23-year-old drug dealer stabbed a man to death with a knuckle duster and a sharpened stick, a court has heard.
David Williams, 30, of Oldbrook Boulevard in Milton Keynes, Bucks, was stabbed in the neck and chest in his flat in August .
At Luton Crown Court Eric Erron Johnson, of Devonport Road, London, W12, denied murdering Mr Williams.
John Denniss, prosecuting, said the two men both dealt in cocaine and heroin and had been arguing.
"Both men were deeply involved in the local drug scene," Mr Denniss told the court.
'Self-defence'
He said the accused's "pride and joy" was a Prada mobile phone which he believed had been stolen by Mr Williams along with a quantity of heroin.
An argument later started in Mr Williams' flat.
Mr Denniss said the accused "had already made up his mind to attack and harm the deceased".
He said two women in the flat were warned 'don't go in there because I am going to kill him'.
Inside the flat Mr Williams was jabbed at with a sharpened stick and stabbed with the knuckle duster knife.
"It is not in dispute that Johnson was in the flat, it is not in dispute that he actually used his knuckle duster knife and stabbed him twice, the only issue is that he alleges he was acting in self-defence," he added.
The trial continues.
