Man denies deceiving immigrants

A man has denied posing as an advisor to immigrants at a Bedfordshire detention centre.

Alan Kamara-Francis, of Church Road, Crystal Palace, is accused of offering legal advice to detainees at Yarl's Wood Immigration Removal Centre.

The 48-year-old pleaded not guilty to fraud by false representation and providing immigration advice when not registered to do so.

He was remanded in custody until trial at Cambridge Crown Court on 16 June.
