Man, 62, charged with 1980 rape

A man has been charged with rape in connection with an attack on a girl in Buckinghamshire 28 years ago.

The 17-year-old girl was walking along Micklefield Road, High Wycombe, when she was dragged to a nearby railway embankment and raped by two men.

Thames Valley's Major Crime Review Team has been investigating the 1980 case.

Geoffrey Stoneham, 62, from Alamein Road, Swanscombe, Kent, will appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court later, police said.
