Plans announced for new bus route

People in Lincolnshire are set to benefit from a new Sunday bus service.

The new InterConnect 505 will run hourly on a Sunday between Spalding and Holbeach in Lincolnshire and Kings Lynn in Norfolk.

The bus will also stop at the Springfields Retail Outlet in Spalding, in a bid to attract more customers.

The new route will be run by bus operator Norfolk Green, with financial support from both Lincolnshire and Norfolk County Councils.

Ben Colson, managing director of Norfolk Green, said: "The new Sunday services will provide more opportunities for bus travel between Spalding and Kings Lynn.

"This is much needed now Sunday trading is becoming more important to the economy."

The service will begin on 5 October.
