Fraud couple got money from banks

A couple from Suffolk have admitted fraudulently obtaining thousands of pounds from banks and building societies in Norfolk.

Charles Kobleck, 33, of Smiths Walk, Lowestoft, pleaded guilty at Norwich Crown Court to seven charges of fraud and six of deception.

He asked for 17 other offences to be taken into consideration.

His wife Emma, 29, of the same address, admitted fraudulently acquiring money gained from financial institutions.

Mr Kobleck used the false names Michael Weymouth, Michael Edwards, Richard Jones, Thomas Smith and Bryan Thomas to obtain £40,000 between August 2006 and October 2007.

Awaiting sentence

The largest victim of the fraud was Lloyds TSB in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, where Kobleck used the name Thomas Smith and false employment details to obtain £12,163.

Other victims in the Great Yarmouth area included HSBC, Halifax BOS and the Norwich and Peterborough building society.

Mrs Kobleck also admitted using the false name Vanessa Smith as well as fake employment and mortgage details to obtain services by deception.

Both were bailed to await pre-sentence reports and are due back in court on 12 September.
