Attempted murder charge for woman

A 26-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of a man at his Northampton home.

Police were called to an address in the Abington area of the town and found a 47-year-old man with wounds to the chest on Monday night.

The man is recovering in hospital, a police spokesman said.

The woman, from Cambridgeshire, is due to appear before magistrates in Northampton later.
