Man charged over fatal M6 crash

A man has been charged over an accident on the M6 in Greater Manchester in which a 29-year-old man died.

Lee McKenna, of Blackpool, died when the car he was in left the southbound carriageway and hit an embankment near junction 26 at Wigan on Monday.

A 22-year-old man from Liverpool is charged with causing death by dangerous driving and driving a vehicle while above the alcohol limit.

He is due to appear before Wigan magistrates on Thursday.
