Six men charged after drugs raids

Six men have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and Class C drugs following raids across England, police have confirmed.

Nottinghamshire Police said two men from Nottingham and one Cumbrian man had been bailed to appear at court.

Two Newcastle men and another Nottingham man are due to appear before magistrates in Nottingham later.

The raids were carried out in Nottinghamshire, Cornwall, Suffolk, Essex, and the Northumbria force area.

They were part of a joint operation between police, HM Revenue and Customs and the Serious Organised Crime Agency, aimed at tackling drug and revenue crime.

A further nine people who were arrested have been released on police bail.
