Loughton Shooting
Police were called to reports of a motoring incident

A man and a woman have been arrested after a police car was shot at.

Police were called in the morning to an incident in Pyrles Lane, Loughton, Essex, where officers stopped a Volkswagen Golf car.

The window of a police vehicle was shot at but no one was injured, an Essex Police spokesman said.

Officers arrested a man and a woman in Rainham, east London, in connection with the attack and another shooting in Romford on Wednesday night.

A joint investigation has been launched by Essex Police and the Metropolitan Police.
