Relatives and friends of a teenager whose body was found 16 years after she vanished have paid tribute to her at a church service in her home village.

Student Dinah McNicol, 18, of Tillingham, Essex, went missing in August 1991 after attending a festival in Liphook, Hampshire.

Her remains were found last November at a house in Margate, Kent. The memorial service was held at Tillingham.

The body was found at the former home of convicted killer Peter Tobin.

Mr Tobin, a former handyman who has also lived in Sussex, Hampshire and near Edinburgh, is in prison serving a life sentence for the rape and murder of Polish student Angelika Kluk, 23, in Glasgow in September 2006.
