Body found on road is identified

Karen Crews' body was found in Capel St Mary in Suffolk

The woman whose body was found on the A12 in Suffolk has been formally identified, police said.

The body of Karen Crews, 50, of Alexandra Road, Rayleigh, Essex, was found on the southbound carriageway near Capel St Mary on Tuesday night.

Post-mortem tests found that she died of multiple injuries.

Suffolk Police, which is investigating the unexplained death, appealed for anyone with information to contact the inquiry team.

A car was recovered for examination by police after the incident which happened at about 2145 BST.
