Man 'threatened to blow up house'
Residents of a Plymouth street were evacuated by police early on Wednesday when a man was reported as threatening to blow up a house.

The 26-year-old man was allegedly threatening to ignite the building's gas supply.

Police talked the man out of the house at Brockley Road, Laira at 0130 BST.

A man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage with intent to endanger property. He is being held at Charles Cross police station.
