First minister's questions

First Minister Carwyn Jones expressed his condolences with the families affected by the events in Cardiff and Prestatyn over the weekend during the weekly session of AMs' questions on 23 October 2012.

"I am deeply shocked by the events in Cardiff last week and indeed in Prestatyn," said Mr Jones.

He said they were "extremely traumatic series of events".

"This government would like to offer our deep condolences to those affected.

"I should like to put on record my thanks to all the emergency services involved."

Leader of Plaid Cymru, Leanne Wood AM and Leader of the Conservatives, Andrew RT Davies also expressed their sympathy.

"Sadly, Wales has been leading the headlines for all the wrong reasons," said Mr Davies saying that nonetheless "we have much to be proud of in Wales" in particular our sense of community.

Mr Jones also responded to questions on changes to health services in Pembrokeshire, the illegal drug mephodrome, local government finances and funding the ambulance services.
